Policies and Procedures

Welcome to Bluebird Music Together.

The following policies and procedures have been put in place to provide accessible, safe classes for your children. Please help to make our classes run efficiently by adhering to the following guidelines.

Attendance: Please attempt to arrive 5-10 minutes before your class start time. We will make every effort to begin and end class on time.

Make up policy: All children can attend unlimited classes online via Zoom during the semester so there is no need to worry about missing classes.  They must be taken within the same semester and scheduled in advance by signing up using our Makeup Class Scheduler on our website.

Refunds/Credits UPDATED FOR COVID- 19

For new families, there is a one time $10 fee that is non-refundable. We can send you a tuition refund if necessary as long as the class session has not begun yet. No tuition refunds are given after classes begin.

In the event of natural disaster, inclement weather, or community crisis requiring the cancellation of our live classes, we will make every attempt to offer additional classes, semester extensions or reasonable alternatives including online classes. There will be no refunds offered if live classes need to be cancelled due to local community shutdowns/ quarantines.

We are not able to offer refunds or credits for classes that are cancelled for reasons beyond our control.

If a family becomes unable to attend because they are ill due to COVID- 19, a doctor's note will be required and a full credit will be given for missed classes.

Individual missed classes can be made up online via Zoom for those attending online or outdoor classes. Zoom classes are available weekdays and weekends for every enrolled family during their current semester. There will be no refunds or credits offered for individual missed classes.

Health Policy: We care about your family's health & the health of our teachers. This is why we sanitize all used classroom instruments after every class and practice safe distancing and local guidelines. If you or your child has had a fever or other signs of a contagious illness within the past 24 hours, please do not come to an in-person class. Use common sense if you are not sure, stay home & schedule a make up class here instead.

Inclement weather and Holiday closures:

Fall 2020:

For outdoor classes: If the class is cancelled due to rain or heat, the class will be held on zoom. Families who miss individual classes can make them up using our online Zoom class scheduler. There will be no refunds or credits offered for missed classes.

Please Note: Bluebird Music Together does NOT follow class closures of the public school holidays or holiday breaks.  If we are NOT holding class, it will be posted on the front page of our website and our Facebook and Instagram pages, otherwise we are holding classes. You can check those online resources listed, or call (315) 427-6985 if you are unsure.

Valuables: Bring all valuables in the class area with you.

Visiting guests: You may bring adult family members without calling ahead. Grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, etc. are welcome! Please check in advance before bringing visiting children. Older siblings may attend class up to two times per semester at no additional charge, but please call ahead to assure there is space. Guests are encouraged to fully participate as active members of the class.

Media Release: From time to time photos or videos may be taken during class and used only for the purposes of promoting our classes on our website, fliers and/or Facebook page. By agreeing to these terms you agree to have you and/or your child's photo taken and used for such purposes. You may opt out of this at any time by notifying director@bluebirdmusictogether.com

Liability Release: By attending class, you agree to release Bluebird Music Together and it's associates and facilites liability relating to injuries, damages, or illness that may occur inside class or outside class when using class activites.

Participation: We urge you or your child's caregiver to participate in class. The children are free to develop naturally and in their own time and style. Keep in mind that you are here as a model for your child even if you aren't feeling particularly confident about your own musical abilities. If your child sees you making music and having a good time, he or she is more likely to develop that disposition. So relax, let your child "be", and have some musical fun!

We reserve the right to modify or change our terms of service at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any 3rd party for modifications, price change, suspension or discontinuation of service.
